It's a long book, but it captured my attention with its vivid descriptions not only of events but also of the people who were part of Billy Graham's long life. The updated edition published this year has additional material that cover his life from his mid-70s to mid-90s. I recommend it highly.
As the author of this book, my giving it five stars may reflect some bias, but since the 1991 edition is widely regarded as the authoritative biography of Billy Graham, I am not alone in this estimate.(Some, including Time Magazine, have called it the definitive biography, but I'm not sure any biography is ever finally definitive. New information turns up, other writers provide other perspectives.) The 2018 edition, just released, includes four new chapters and brings Mr. Graham's life and ministry up to early 2017.I write, however, to clear up some misconceptions one might have by reading several of the reviews on this site, since they are likely to remain in those early spots for a long time. Two reviews of the paperback edition are of a small book published by Zonderkidz in 2013 and labeled Juvenile Nonfiction (144 pages, large print). Two reviews refer only to the condition of the book they had received, not its content. Three others differ in their assessment, as is to be expected. The remaining one, identifying me as a God Hater who has spent his life "preaching against God," is simply bizarre. I invite you to read my comment to his "review."

This is a really wonderful book on the life of Billy Graham. It contains really the history of this man and his ministry.
I hacwe always loved Billy Graham and listened to his sermons often. I love this book, it describes the man of God I knew him to be and added some information I was glad to get.
Bought book for my fourth grade daughter's school report. Both she and I enjoyed the book. Would definitely recommend it.
