Chapter 1 is foundational to this book. And it's so very wrong. The author, who strikes me as a well-meaning man, makes major mistakes about basic things.For example, he mistakenly conflates the Niceness Creed with the Apostle's Creed. He then accuses Christians of naming it the Apostle's Creed to deceive people. But it's clear from the text he's speaking of the Nicene Creed. He gets the chronology wrong, too, in the process.It's clear his grasp on the basics of church history is incredibly shaky.There are other examples of massive mistakes in regards to Church History 101. These errors directly and negatively damage his main claim, because it's based partially on faulty information. And that's just Chapter 1!If it's that weak on the facts, what did I give it 3 stars? Well, it's still head and shoulder against many other "Hebrew Israelite" books (note the author is not a 1Wester but a Non-Messianic "Hebrew").It's relatively clear and sensibly laid out - as far as what he is attempting to demonstrate. Not only that, but it's generally well-written and dynamic in its engagement to the reader, by way of comparison to the field. Plus, the overview of OT history is decent, even through his mistaken assumptions sneak in every now and then.If I did a longer review, I'd critique his dismissal of The Messiahship of Yeshua.
